As an Account Executive, Mercedes Akinseye works with businesses in the nonprofit and public sectors to forge strong relationships with community groups and drive participation in their community-based initiatives.

She excels at grassroots organizing, cross-cultural communications and has broad-based knowledge of equity initiatives. She works with clients in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska and North Dakota.

Mercedes joined Public Affairs Company after previously working in the nonprofit sector for four years. She has a diverse professional background, with over a decade of experience in community engagement, meeting and event planning, volunteer mobilization, and fundraising. Whether working with a local startup or multinational organization, she is a catalyst for change.

An outdoor enthusiast, she resides in Eagan and serves on the board of Minnesota Conservation Federation, as well as Turn In Poachers.
